Lasix - brand name of the drug furosemide; a potent diuretic that greatly increases urine output (generally).

Leukotrienes - a class of small molecules produced by cells in response to allergen exposure; they contribute to allergy and asthma symptoms.

Lipids - fats; fluid high in calories administered via IV for nutrition/nourishment.

Lorazepam - see also Ativan; enhances the effect of a neurotransmitter, the nerves in the brain used to send messages to one another.
